This policy explains what personal information WormWood DayZ collects when you use our website at www.wormwooddayz.org, our Discord server and our DayZ game servers (the "Services"), how we use it and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

  • Discord account: when you sign in, we receive your Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar and your roles in our Discord server.
  • Steam account: when you link Steam, we receive your SteamID64. We never receive your Steam password.
  • Game server data: when you play on our servers we record your SteamID64, in-game name, connection times, IP address, in-game actions and events (for example chat, kills, deaths, positions, trades, base and vehicle activity) and server logs. These are used to run the servers, enforce the rules and investigate reports.
  • Purchases: order details (products, amounts, the SteamID64 delivered to, your answers to product questions) and your Stripe customer and payment references. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
  • Messages and forms: ban appeals, applications, support tickets, suggestions and messages you send to our bots or in our Discord.
  • Technical data: sign-in session cookies and basic security logs (such as IP address and time of sign-in) to keep accounts secure.

2. How we use it

  • To provide the Services: sign-in, delivering purchases, running the game servers and Discord features.
  • To moderate and keep the community fair and safe: enforcing rules, detecting cheating, investigating reports and reviewing appeals.
  • To provide support and answer your requests.
  • To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations and to handle payment disputes.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with services that help us run the community, and only what they need:

  • Stripe: payment processing.
  • Discord and Steam (Valve): sign-in, account linking and Discord features.
  • CFTools: game server management, priority queue, whitelist and ban lists.
  • Anti-cheat providers: checks for cheating, for example ban history lookups.
  • Anthropic: our AI assistant may process the text of support requests and staff questions to help answer them.
  • Hosting providers and Cloudflare: hosting, security and delivery of the website.
  • Authorities: when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, players or the public.

Ban information may be shared on community ban lists used by other DayZ servers.

4. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect sign-in and checkout. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies on the website. Stripe may set its own cookies during checkout.

5. How long we keep it

  • Account and purchase records are kept while your account exists and as long as needed for tax, accounting and dispute purposes.
  • Game logs and moderation records (including bans and notes) are kept as long as needed to enforce the rules, which may be indefinitely for serious rule breaks.
  • High-volume data such as detailed game events is deleted automatically after a set period.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or limit how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. You can unlink Steam from your account page at any time. To make any request, email [email protected] from, or with proof of, the account concerned. We may keep information we need for legal reasons, payment disputes or to enforce bans.

7. Children

The Services are not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We protect information with access controls, encryption of sensitive settings and limited staff access. No service is completely secure; please keep your Discord and Steam accounts protected. If a breach affects you, we will tell you when the law requires it.

9. International users

We operate from the United States and use providers that may process information in other countries. By using the Services, you understand that your information may be processed outside your country.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and important changes are announced on the website or in our Discord.
